The Major Shareef of Sheik Dhawood (Oli) is located in Muthupettai Thiruvarur District previously known as Tanjore District.

Seven hundred years back a farmer name Karuppiah Konnar was ploughing the land where the place like Dhargah Shareef stands today. On seeing the splashing of fresh blood the farmer fainted and in his dream a saint appeared and said “I am Sheikh Dhawood! My burial ground is right here! Ask the Musalmans in the near by Nachikulam village to build a memorial in my name in the place.

No other evidence is available about the Oliyllah except the above said incident. The miracles that happen to the people who flock at the Dhargah Shareef are countless. For all people the miracle happens in their dreams and in awake ness they get salvation for their physical, mental and family problems everyday.

The Prophet who introduced himself in the dreams of farmer Karuppiah Konnar is giving messages in dream that he is the Prophet David hailed in the Holy Bible and Holy Quran.

The Psalms of the Holy Bible and the book history of the Prophets by M.R.M. Abdul Rahim have the following verse:

"Those who ploughed the land
Ploughed it over my back "

Another message from the Bible is that river will run from east to west of the head side of the tomb of Prophet David and sea will be seen on the foot side of his tomb. This Bible words has become a truth in the Mazar Shareef of Sheik Dawood Oliyullah

This Oliyullah has another name Hikmath el Hukama which signifies him as a man specialized in medicine. The scriptures about Prophet David state that the great physician Lukman el Hakim had been a minister in the courts of Prophet David

Again it states that Prophet David and Lukman el Hakem were close friends and they both were highly skilled physicians bound by their cult.

The reason for Prophet David moved from Jerusalem to India is he met the angel of death Israeli in his old ages. And the desire to visit the place of the first man Adam first preliminary appearance on the planet earth.
And the desire to see the Shrines of Lord Siva who is actually Adam himself at the holy land of Hind. And the desire to see the place named Sirkazi where Prophet Noah built his ship.
And knowing that the land from which his body has been created is in Muthupettai to justify the truth the body of man returns to the land from which it has been created, so his heart started to ebb with the desire to take his body to Muthupettai

His beloved wife Badhasaya follows him to Muthupettai. The son of Badhasaya is none other than Prophet Solomon. And Prophet Jesus is the descendant of Prophet Solomon and this information is available in the Holy Bible.

This truth has been forecast in the Holy book of Zabur of Prophet David and in Quran.

The fact that Prophet David speaks to the birds and animals and had the capability to bend iron with bare hands. Also it is significant that he is a skilled physician with the benevolence and blessing of the Divine. Dawood lives as Kamil Oliyullah in the religion brought forth by his descendent and grandson Prophet Mohammed.

Oliyullah fulfills the needs of the devotees through their dreams. People with physical and mental ailments and other problems in the life get them sorted out in this Dhargah Shareef.
